When Lena Stockton receives a call from a woman claiming that she knows Jason Kline she immediately fears for his life. Later she learns that the woman, Christina Strong, is Kindred and that it appears as if she is in love with Jason, Lena can’t help but wonder what her old friend has gotten himself into.  Together the two women and another vampire, Luke Thomas, travel the world in search of him but it looks like the ending is going to be far from a happy one even though she finally learns that Talon Graves isn’t really dead.
