Charles Rucker is originally from England. He first died in 1906 when he was a soldier in the British Army stationed in Scotland. When he returned to life he knew that he had to slip away and he met his mentor, who was actually Scottish, and learned the ways of the Game. He traveled to America looking to take heads. Along the way he got into a fight with a vampire and killed it. Because of the ensuing Quickening, Charles has an aversion to sunlight. |

Sloan Van Dien grew up in LA and was involved in some gangs. The only white boy on his block, he was killed in a gang related incident. Charles happened to be nearby and became his mentor. Sloan dates Sarah Schaeffer, a Sidhe in the city |
