Kenny Miller is Justin's assistant at the shelter. He's single but he's interested in Kami Ford, although he knows it's not a good idea to pursue the relationship. |

Justin saved Kami from the streets when she was younger. Her parents were alcoholics and drug addicts and she would have become a victim of the streets if he hadn't intervened. Kami is now raising her younger sisters. |

Gloria is one of Kami's younger sisters. She finds school hard; it's hard to concentrate, hard to deal with what she is, hard to keep friends. She has cut herself off from all her old friends and hangs out mainly with the pack. |

Roger Dennis is a struggling actor who finds it difficult to maintain work and help out at the shelter, so his career is suffering. He is originally from Atlanta and moved to LA in 1994. |

Bette is the youngest of the Ford sisters. She loves school, and excels at it. She wants to go to College to become a doctor so she can come back to the neighborhood and help those in need. |

Tami is Roger's sister and came with him from Atlanta because their mom had recently passed away and their father couldn't deal with it. It was supposed to be a temporary situation, but it's become permanent. Tami gets along well with the other girls in the pack. |
